History

The story begins in 1967 when the first Sotris store opens in Fokionos Negri. A London style shop, black with big mirrors and big windows, very striking colors for the time. A store reminiscent of the then great BIBA in London.

In the 1970s, Fokionos Negri became the most secular street in Athens frequented by artists and intellectuals. Then all the women wanted to buy something from the Sotris collections.

In the early 80s, Sotris begins to import big names of Italian and French fashion such as Montana, Thierry Mugler and the great designer Jean-Paul Gaultier.

In 1986, Sotris opens a store in Kolonaki on Leventi Street 3, an avant-guard women's and men's ready-to-wear store, where all fashion fans and stylists make it a meeting point and exchange of ideas. Then begins the great promotion of Sotris by magazines, with covers and fashion specials.

In 1990 the store in Kolonaki, Anagnostopoulou 30 opens its doors with an impressive decoration for the time, in baroque style, and hosts some of the biggest names in fashion such as Prada, John Galliano, Comme des Garcons, Yohji Yamamoto and the then rising duo Dolce & Gabbana.

In 2000, the Sotris concept store opens in Kolonaki, Bucharest & Tsakalov, on three levels. Ground floor, basement and 1st floor with lots of accessories, decorative items and clothes.

After 47 years, SOTRIS started its collaboration with Topshop and Topman of London.

In 2013 the history of fashion continues with the new stores in Kolonaki and Golden Hall, where one finds huge fashion names on their shelves.
